¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Vishing Competition
The ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Vishing Competition is a hands-on cybersecurity experience that challenges students to apply research, communication, and critical-thinking skills in a live, ethically controlled environment. Teams use open-source intelligence (OSINT) and real-time phone interactions to gather non-sensitive information from organizations, simulating the tactics used in social engineering attacks while adhering to strict professional standards.
Cyber 100
Cyber 100 is an exclusive, one-day cybersecurity event hosted by the Center for Cybersecurity at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. This program introduces high school students to the exciting and ever-evolving field of cybersecurity, providing hands-on experiences, expert insights, and a real-world cybersecurity competition.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online. The Center for Cybersecurity hosts several events throughout the month of October, such as Cybersecurity Day and the Cybersecurity Film Series.
BSides Peoria
The Center for Cybersecurity has hosted the cybersecurity conference at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ since its establishment by the in 2023. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ faculty, staff, and students established the Physical Security Village in 2025, providing attendees with a safe way to explore various vulnerabilities in locks, safes, and doors. In 2026, the center launched the to spread social engineering awareness.
