To continue its efforts toward a more diverse and inclusive institution, ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ has partnered with the local public school system to develop six full-ride scholarships. The university worked closely with Peoria Public Schools Superintendent Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat ’86 and several high school counselors, extending offers to six candidates for the 2020-21 academic year.
“These initial steps are not the end of a process, but the beginning of sustained change for the university,” said ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ President Stephen Standifird. “I believe these annual scholarships will continue to strengthen and enhance the diversity of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½’s student body and student experience.”
