¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ alumnus Don Sidlowski, Class of 1979, has been named the inaugural National Chair of the Lydia Moss ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Society, the university’s premier donor recognition program. In this leadership role, he will continue his long record of supporting ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ in meaningful ways, as he also currently serves as a member of the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Alumni Association (BUAA) Board of Directors.

“I am very happy that Don has agreed to take on this vital role as ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ looks to more deeply engage its alumni and friends”, said ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½’s President, Stephen Standifird. “Lydia Moss ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ had philanthropy in her heart, and I can think of no better way to honor her legacy than asking Don to lead and grow the Society that bears her name.”

Sidlowski, who holds ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ degrees in Geological Sciences and Mathematics, has committed himself to helping others as a visionary, innovator, and selfless leader all throughout his career. After retiring in 2012 from Oneida Marketing Enterprises, which he co-founded, Don went on to serve public education systems across Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. His focus was on empowering K-12 school districts, and their surrounding communities, through the implementation of Fabrication Laboratory (Fab Lab) maker space programs and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) curriculums. He currently acts as a volunteer advisor to the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Center for STEM Education.

In addition to his appointment as the National Chair of the Lydia Moss ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Society, Don also serves as a leader on the BUAA Board in the role of Chair of the Advancement Committee. He can frequently be seen at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Admission events, encouraging today’s generation of high school students to choose ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. In memory of his late wife Ginny, he is a member of the 1897 Society, which recognizes those donors who have included ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ in their estate plan.

Please join us in celebrating this milestone moment and welcoming Don Sidlowski as our inaugural National Chair. We look forward to his leadership of the Lydia Moss ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Society!
