(Lincoln, IL) - The Lincoln Christian University (LCU) Red Lions' women's basketball team welcomed the first member of its 2017 recruiting class with the signing of recruit, Becca Adams. The 5'7 forward from Crawfordsville, Indiana, signed her National Letter of Intent on Oct. 27th, surrounded by family and friends at North Montgomery High School. Also in attendance was her high school coach Ryan Nuppnau as well as LCU Head Women's Basketball Coach Christian Lowry.
Adams, had to sit most of her junior year due to injuries but has started her senior campaign in impressive fashion, scoring 20 points in the season opener and 17 points in the second game while also going 7 for 7 from the free throw line
"We are very excited to sign Becca," Said Coach Lowry. "She's been one of our top priorities for a couple of years now and it's a great feeling to have her on board. I think she sees the vision for where we want to go and I really do think she could be the centerpiece as our program takes that next step. When you watch her play, it's her versatility that stands out. She can play the 1-4 positions and it gives us options on both sides of the ball. On and off the court, I'm confident Becca will be a great fit for LCU and what this university stands for."
"LCU is a place I fell in love with my sophmore year and I am so excited to be joining the Red Lion family," Becca said. "The team has a great atmosphere and I'm ready to build with them. The school itself is amazing and has great people as well."
