Student-Athlete Advisory Committee


Lincoln Christian University SAAC representatives play an important role in bridging the gap between administrative personnel and the student-athlete population. This committee is designed to incorporate ideas and opinions from student-athletes that will affect their academic and athletic pursuits. These athletes will develop valuable leadership skills as they address changes in rules and regulations, organize and participate in community service events, and build a positive image for our university and the rest of the NAIA.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Lincoln Christian University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to serve as a liaison between the student body, faculty, athletic department, student athletes, and the community. SAAC seeks to enhance the student-athlete experience by providing opportunities within the community and amongst one another.


It is our vision that the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee becomes heavily involved on campus and throughout the entire Lincoln community.

LCU SAAC Guiding Principles:

The LCU SAAC will be guided by the following NAIA Champions of Character principles: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Along with this, SAAC will respect, honor, and follow the mission of LCU and LCU's Athletic Department.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  1. Keep their teams educated about relevant issues discussed during monthly SAAC meetings.
  2. Act as leaders and liaisons within their teams and on-campus.
  3. SAAC will serve those in need through various community service opportunities.
  4. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will collaborate with other organizations at LCU.
  5. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will organize events that bring together the entire campus community. 
  6. SAAC will elect and hold these officer positions: President, Vice President, Director of Community Relations, and Secretary.
  7. Fundraisers within SAAC will be held occasionally, and those proceeds will go towards hosting various events pertaining to the student-athletes.
  8. The SAAC will be oversaw by the Director of Athletics.
